Steps to follow

Step1 – Create an Almaviva account 

Choice your city, Tripoli or Tobruk and create your account by typing your email address and a password. 

Step2 – Click on link in the email

You will receive an email with a link.

Step 3 – Select the type of visa

Choose the type of visa:

‒         a short-stay visa up to 90 days for 60 €

‒         children aged between 6 and 12 years old for 35 €

‒         children under 6 years old. Free of charge

‒         national visas long-stay visa more than  90 days for 116 €

‒         study visa more than 90 days for  50 €

Please note: These fees are not refundable, including in case of refusal by the Italian Embassy or cancellation of the request by the applicant.

Step 4 – List of documents

Step 6 – Making an appointment online

Select the day and the time to submit your visa application. An email will be sent to confirm your appointment.

Step 7 – Prepare your file

Prepare all the documents requested in the list that will be sent to you by e-mail.

Please note: The absence of one of these documents may affect the outcome of your request.

Step 8 – Submitting the application 

Go to our premises with all the documents indicated in the list.

In order to respect the daily schedule, it is key to show up at the precise time of your appointment. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to proceed with the application in case of belated arrival.

Step 9 – Application processing and taking fingerprint

An agent will take care of you at the reception and will check if all the documents necessary for your request are included in your file.

If your file is complete, we will collect your biometric data and your application will be forwarded to the Italian Embassy.

Step 10 – Passport withdrawal

Once the Embassy has completed the evaluation of your visa application, you will receive a SMS and an email informing you that your passport is ready to be withdrawn.

To withdraw your passport, you must bring along the receipt as well as your ID card and a copy of it.
